Qualifications not on the Tariff

If you cannot find your qualification on the Tariff, it may be because:

1. In many instances, theTariff is established by mapping classes of qualifications to the units of assessment of the new qualifications.  The generic qualification title is shown on the Tariff (which may be included in the title of the your qualification) but there may be no reference to the awarding institutions e.g. the Further Education Teachers’ Certificate (FETC) was awarded by several awarding bodies with particular brand names such as the City and Guilds 7407.  Try using popular names or keywords in your search.

For further clarification about your specific qualification contact your awarding body – details are available on the National Qualifications Database or contact the LLUK Information and Advisory Service.

2. We are continually researching qualifications to be considered for inclusion on the Tariff.  Qualifications for mapping are prioritised using criteria decided by the Project Board and verified by the Project Assurance Group. Currently a tariff may not yet have been established for your qualification.

3. Where qualifications have been selected for consideration, we cannot always source the detailed specifications required to carry out the mapping and establish a Tariff.  To date these are:

  • RTITB Fork Lift Instructors Training
  • ENB 998 Teaching and Assessing in Clinical

4. Some qualifications considered for inclusion in the Tariff did not recieve any Tariff due to insufficient coverage of the assessment criteria. To date these are:

  • CIEH Professional Trainer Certificate
  • NVQ L5 Learning and Development
  • NVQ L4 Management of Learning and Development
  • ENTO Certificate in Mentoring/Coaching in the Workplace
  • ISTD Foundation in Dance Instruction

If your qualification is not on this list or the database or you can help us locate required specifications, please e-mail the Tariff team at: tariff@svuk.eu
