Ian Borkett
Ian Borkett is a member of the Standards Verification UK (SVUK) Board, his extensive experience in the learning and skills sector means he is ideally placed to contribute to the Board's work.
Ian Borkett is unionlearn's Standards and Quality Manager; he is a member of unionlearn's Senior Management Team and contributes to the strategic development of the TUC's learning and skills work. Ian is responsible for quality-assuring unionlearn services and establishing systems that support learner progression. He is responsible for unionlearn's Supporting Learners Strategy and managing unionlearn's Quality Award.
Prior to working for unionlearn Ian was the Training and Consultancy Manager for the TUC's Partnership Institute and has worked as Head of Policy for the union Amicus. Ian was also a member of the independent Lord Sawyer Report team which addressed employee relations within Royal Mail.
