Endorsement in Wales
Information for individuals
Standards Verification UK (SVUK) endorses teacher training qualifications for teachers, tutors and trainers in the lifelong learning sector in Wales, which are validated by higher education institutions (HEIs) in Wales.
Any individual interested in taking a teacher training course is reminded that the endorsed qualifications offered in Wales do not correspond to those offered in England.
Endorsed qualifications validated by institutions in Wales are mapped to the FENTO standards (excluding Minimum Core), in accordance with regulation S.I. 2001 no.1209. They are not governed by the Further Education Teachers' Qualifications (England) Regulations 2007 introduced in England for the 'Equipping our Teachers' agenda.
