Endorsement in England 2010 - 2011
Information about Endorsement Services
From 2005 to March 2010, Standards Verification UK (SVUK) endorsed teacher training qualifications for teachers, tutors and trainers in the lifelong learning sector in England, which are validated by institutions in England.
Transitional arrangements are currently in place whilst BIS consults with key stakeholders to agree new arrangements by which qualifications become approved by the Secretary of State. For 2010 -2011, until these new arrangements are all in place, SVUK will provide:
- an information and support telephone/email helpline for awarding institutions or newly appointed ITT course leaders
- processing of variations to endorsement such as changes to delivery centres, option units etc
- dissemination of any revised guidance materials or other updates required during the transition period
- maintenance of the published tables of endorsed qualifications
- routine collection of data.
For information about ITT qualifications in England, or about ITT qualifications held by individuals, please call the LLUK Information and Advice Service. For information about endorsement services or in connection with Briefing Paper 10/01 please email endorsement@svuk.eu
For information about ITT qualifications, which have received endorsement or interim endorsement by SVUK under the September 2007 ITT regulations, please view the tables of endorsed qualifications in England.
Information is also available about qualifications which were developed prior to September 2007 in England under the 2001 FE Teacher Regulations.
Information is also available about the SVUK endorsement appeal procedure.
