Abbreviations and acronyms
The lifelong learning sector is full of abbreviations and acronyms, which can be confusing to those entering the profession. For example, who or what are BASIL and JANET?
Standards Verification UK (SVUK) is pleased to provide a list of the more common terms and what they stand for, in order to de-mystify the sector's terminology. The list of abbreviations and acronyms also includes a few items which are not strictly abbreviations or acronyms, but which may help with clarification.
